Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged triumphant in all 27 local government areas of Imo State, as announced in the November 11, 2023, governorship poll.

The collation of results took place at the State Collation Centre in Owerri, the state capital, with Prof Abayomi Fashina, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, serving as the state Returning Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Despite the participation of 18 parties in the election, analysts described it as a four-horse race primarily between Governor Uzodimma, seeking re-election under the APC banner, Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party’s Achonu Nneji, and Jack Ogunewe of the Action Alliance.

However, none of the other candidates secured victory in any local government.
