Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Service of the Federation (HoCSF), will retire on August 14, 2024, after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60. This was disclosed by the Director, Communications in HoCSF office, Mallam Mohammed Ahmed, during a media parley.
Yemi-Esan was appointed as the Acting HoCSF in 2019 and later inaugurated in 2020. She has had a distinguished career in the civil service, serving in various capacities, including as Permanent Secretary in several ministries.
During her tenure, Yemi-Esan has played a crucial role in shaping the country’s civil service, implementing reforms, and promoting transparency and accountability.
Her retirement marks the end of an era in the civil service, and she will be remembered for her dedication, hard work, and contributions to the development of the country.
The Federal Government has not yet announced a successor to take over from Yemi-Esan, but it is expected to make an announcement soon.
Yemi-Esan’s retirement ceremony is expected to be held on August 14, 2024, and will be attended by top government officials, civil servants, and other stakeholders.
