Governor Makinde Invests Olubadan Olakulehin with Staff of Office

Governor Seyi Makinde presented the Staff of Office and Instrument of Office to Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, at Mapo Hall in Ibadan on Friday. This symbolic investiture marks the official recognition of Oba Olakulehin’s authority as the traditional ruler of Ibadanland.

The ceremony, attended by dignitaries including former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, Minister Bayo Adelabu representing President Bola Tinubu, Governors Dapo Abiodun and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Bayo Lawal, and prominent traditional rulers like Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Sultan of Sokoto Sa’ad Abubakar, solidifies Oba Olakulehin’s position as the successor to the late Oba Lekan Balogun.

With this investiture, Oba Olakulehin assumes the leadership of Ibadanland, following a rich cultural heritage and tradition.
