Google has officially announced the rolling out of its June 2025 core update, Okay.ng reports.
The update began rolling out on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 07:30 AM (PDT), according to the Google Search Status Dashboard.
Confirming the development via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @googlesearchc, Google stated:
“Today we released the June 2025 core update. We’ll update our ranking release history page when the rollout is complete.”
The update is flagged as an incident affecting ranking, meaning changes in search result positions may be observed by publishers, SEOs, and webmasters during the rollout period.
Google noted that the rollout could take up to three weeks to complete, with further updates to be shared on its ranking release history page.
Core updates are designed to improve the overall quality of search results by refining how Google’s systems assess content relevance, authority, and user intent.
Website owners are advised to monitor performance metrics, especially in Google Search Console, and to focus on content quality rather than attempting technical fixes in response to short-term ranking shifts.
