Gemini users can now enjoy the benefits of Gemini 1.5 Flash, which is available in the unpaid version. This upgrade promises quicker and more helpful responses, significantly improving the quality and latency of interactions. The free-tier experience now includes a quadrupled context window of 32K tokens, allowing for more extended conversations and complex queries. Gemini is also enhancing its role as a research partner by providing links to related content for fact-seeking prompts. This feature, aimed at reducing hallucinations, allows users to explore websites and verify information directly within Gemini’s responses. Available initially for English language prompts in certain countries, users can click on chips at the end of paragraphs to access relevant websites or emails.

In the coming week, Gemini will be accessible to teenagers globally in over 40 languages. This expansion includes additional policies, safeguards, a teen-specific onboarding process, and an AI literacy guide to ensure safe and responsible use.
