Ganduje signs new emirate bill into law in Kano

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has signed the recently passed emirate bill by the State House of Assembly.

Okay.ng had reported that the Ganduje sent a fresh bill to the State Assembly, which creates four new emirates in the state for approval.

The Kano Assembly debated on the controversial bill and proceed with the passage after several deliberations.

After the passage, Ganduje has now signed the Bill into Law on Thursday, at Coronation Hall, Government House, Kano.

Ganduje speaking after signing the bill said; “As a law-abiding administration, we came and deliberated upon that at the State Executive Council. After which we sent the Bill to the State House of Assembly, seeking for the creation of 4 additional Emirates, namely Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye.

“After successfully passing the Bill by the House, here we are, as you are all witnessing the singing of the Bill into a Law. And our Emirates have come to stay.”
