As the presidential election petition tribunal begins proceedings in Abuja, all eyes are on the judges who will preside over the case.

Meet the five judges who have been selected to hear the case and determine the outcome of the 2023 presidential election:

  • Justice Haruna Tsammani
  • Justice Stephen Adah
  • Justice Monsurat Bolaji-Yusuf
  • Justice Moses Ugo
  • Justice Abba Mohammed

The tribunal will be responsible for resolving the disputes arising from the conduct of the presidential election, and the judges will have the difficult task of determining whether the election was conducted in compliance with the Electoral Act and whether the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reflect the will of the Nigerian people.

The judges will need to carefully consider the evidence presented to them and ensure that their verdict is impartial and fair.

It is essential that the judges selected to hear this case are experienced and knowledgeable in election law and possess the necessary skills to make sound and unbiased decisions.

As the presidential election petition tribunal proceeds, Nigerians will be hoping that the judges will carry out their duties with integrity and justice.

The outcome of this case will have a significant impact on the country, and it is vital that the judges reach a fair and just resolution.
