headies-2014

Music’s biggest night in Nigeria went down a few minutes ago in the metropolitan city of Lagos at Eko Hotels & Suites…and of course, it was super fun.

On Sunday 11th December 2014, the RED carpet was rolled out at the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos for the biggest names in the Nigerian entertainment industry for The Headies 2014.

Hosted by Media Personality/OAP Toke Makinwa and Ace Comedian Basketmouth, awards were presented to a selected few who simply ruled the music charts and had us swaying in all directions to their songs. Electrifying performances were delivered by almost all the superstars present – YungGreyc, Reekado Banks, Lil Kesh, Skales, Cynthia Morgan, Nikki Laoye, Harrysong, KCee, Oritse Femi, Patoranking, Tiwa Savage, Timi Dakolo, Runtown, Yemi Alade, Dr Sid, Mavin Crew, Phyno, Davido, Olamide, & P-Square

The O.B.O season continues…Davido snaps the biggest awards for the night – ‘Song of the Year – AYE’ & ‘Artiste of The Year’

Olamide snapped the awards for ‘Rap Album Of The Year’ & ‘Album Of The Year’

Patoranking emerged arguably the biggest star for the night copping the prestigious ‘Next Rated’ category that comes along with a car.

The Mavin Crew stole the show with the plaque for the ‘Pop Single of the year’ for “DoroBucci“…well deserving! Phyno picked the award for ‘Best Rap Single’, OritseFemi with “Best Street Pop” for ‘Double Wahala’, Sean Tizzle for Best R’n’B / Pop Album with ‘The Journey’, Olamide with ‘Best Rap Album’ for ‘Baddest Guy Ever Liveth’
