The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reported that six people lost their lives in a tragic accident involving two vehicles along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, according to a statement released on Friday by Florence Okpe, the spokesperson of the FRSC.

The incident, which took place at the Verona-Ogere axis in Ogun State, also left three others injured. Okpe revealed that the accident was caused by an over-speeding Toyota Sienna.

“The crash involved two vehicles with the following details: Ash Toyota Sienna with registration number EPE692EL and a truck that could not be identified as it was in motion when the crash happened and didn’t stop after the crash,” she said.

According to her, the victims of the accident were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue.
