Early Life and Education

Born on June 15, 1956, in Kaduna, Nigeria, Taiwo Odukoya’s journey of influence began in the city where he was raised.

He pursued higher education at the University of Ibadan, where he earned a degree in petroleum engineering in 1981. This academic foundation would lay the groundwork for his future endeavors.

The Beginning of a Career

Armed with his petroleum engineering degree, Odukoya ventured into the corporate world. He commenced his professional journey at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in April 1982, following his completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.

His expertise in the field marked the beginning of a distinguished career.

A Union of Love and Purpose

In 1980, fate brought Taiwo Odukoya together with Bimbo Williams during their time at the University of Ibadan. Their connection blossomed into a deep relationship, culminating in their marriage in 1984. The union would become a foundation for their shared vision.

Founding Fountain of Life Church

Taiwo and Bimbo Odukoya’s shared commitment to faith led them to co-found The Fountain of Life Church in 1992. This spiritual endeavor marked the beginning of a transformative movement that would touch lives across borders.

Under the leadership of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, The Fountain of Life Church extended its reach far beyond Nigeria’s borders.

The church established missions in countries such as South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, Switzerland, Kenya, and more. The global presence of the church underscored Odukoya’s dedication to spreading the message of faith and hope.

Navigating Personal Loss

Tragedy struck in 2005 when Bimbo Odukoya, along with 102 others, lost their lives in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash. Despite this immense loss, Taiwo Odukoya continued to exemplify resilience and unwavering faith.

A Journey of Renewed Love

In 2010, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya’s path was intertwined with Rosemary Simangele Zulu from South Africa. Their marriage brought forth a new chapter and the birth of two boys.

Championing Ministry and Community Impact

Odukoya’s commitment extended beyond the pulpit. He fervently believed in the transformative power of the church within the community. His efforts materialized in various outreach projects, including a hospital, orphanage, school for destitute children, water projects, and a skill acquisition and entrepreneurial institute.
