In celebration of the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD), the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has paid tribute to women worldwide, applauding their resilience, hard work, and remarkable achievements. The theme for this year’s IWD, “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment,” underscores the importance of creating a society where every woman and girl can thrive without discrimination or limitations.

In her heartfelt message commemorating the day, Mrs. Tinubu called on women to unite and support one another in their pursuit of equality and empowerment. She emphasized the need for collective action to uplift and inspire women across all spheres of life.

“Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of all women and girls across Nigeria and the world,” she said. “This year’s theme serves as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to build a society where every woman and girl can flourish, free from discrimination and limitations.”

The First Lady urged women to take proactive steps in fostering unity and empowerment. “I believe it is time for women to make this happen. Let us all endeavor to lift each other up, one woman at a time,” she added.
