Eve V 2-in-1 Tablet

Design and Screen

The Eve V looks premium and robust with a chassis made of sand-blasted aluminium. It looks quite slim as well, with Eve Tech putting the thickness at just 0.89 centimetres.

The company describes the unibody design as Scandinavian – it was worked on by design team at Sweden’s Propeller. Just like the Surface Pro and Surface Pro 4, the Eve V 2-in-1 tablet comes with a detachable keyboard featuring the high-end Alcantara material purportedly used in Formula 1 cars. The keyboard and a stylus are bundled with the hybrid tablet.

In terms of display, the Eve V sports a 12.3-inch display with similar 3:2 aspect ratio and 2734 x 1824 pixel resolution as Microsoft’s new 2-in-1. The IGZO-backlit screen is said to use one of the best LCD technologies in the world and comes with anti-reflective coating. It features scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Power and Performance

The Eve V is built for better productivity and web performance with latest Intel Kaby Lake Core processors. Its entry level configuration offers you an Intel Core m3 CPU with 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD.

Available configurations offer up to Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage. With the provision of 600 PCIe SSD, Eve Tech says you can go from start-up to login in less than nine seconds!

The 2-in-1 uses a copper heat pipe cooling system to keep heat in check. Eve V boasts a 48Wh battery. That juicer is said to last the entire almost 10-hour duration of Game of Thrones (Season 6).

Other Specs and Features

This convertible goes one (or two) better than the Surface Pro by including USB 3.0 Gen 1 Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports. Interfaces also include two full-size USB 3.0 Gen 1 ports and a microSD card reader.

The Windows 10 device offers Windows Hello support and a fingerprint reader for enhanced security. Eve V looks to deliver powerful sound with quad speakers and Audio Jack Amplifier by Texas Instruments.

Availability and Pricing

The Eve V has gone through the first wave of pre-ordered at Indiegogo starting at $199 for model with Intel Core m3 with keyboard and stylus pen included. Eve V Intel Core i7 model goes for $399 with the keyboard included. You can check the Indiegogo page here.

We do not have official price or availability for Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya for now. When available, you should be able to buy the tablet at leading online stores in the countries. Eve V Price in Nigeria is expected to range from 73,500 Naira to 195,000 Naira depending on the model and included accessories.
