Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, has expressed his disapproval of Apple’s potential partnership with OpenAI, a leading artificial intelligence research organization. Musk stated that if Apple uses OpenAI’s technology, he will ban the use of iPhones and MacBooks in his companies.

Musk expressed concerns that the partnership would compromise user privacy, citing the potential for data exploitation. He also hinted at the development of a new phone, called the Grok phone, which would prioritize user privacy and security.

If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.

This move by Musk highlights the growing tension between tech giants over data privacy and security. Apple has not officially confirmed its partnership with OpenAI, but rumors suggest that the two companies are exploring ways to integrate AI technology into Apple’s products.

Musk’s stance on privacy has been a long-standing issue, and his threat to ban Apple products in his companies reflects his commitment to protecting user data. The development of the Grok phone could potentially disrupt the smartphone market and challenge existing players like Apple and Samsung.

As the tech industry continues to evolve, data privacy and security are becoming increasingly important concerns for consumers and companies alike. Musk’s move may pressure other tech giants to prioritize user privacy and security in their products and services.
