The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) intensified its crackdown on the alleged fraudulent activities linked to the digital trading platform Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX) on Wednesday by declaring two additional suspects wanted. The newly named individuals, Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, are accused of masterminding fraudulent schemes that resulted in substantial financial losses for thousands of investors.

This announcement brings the total number of persons wanted by the EFCC in connection with the CBEX scam to twelve. The commission’s official notice, disseminated widely on its social media channels, urged the public to assist in locating the suspects.

The EFCC’s statement read in part: “The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear below are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX). FOLASHADE ODELANA. Odelana is 31 years old and her last known address is at No. 17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos State. BAMIDELE AYODELE ABIODUN. Abiodun is 32 years old. His last known address is at No.17, Oremeta Street, Allen, Ikeja, Lagos State.”

The EFCC encouraged anyone with information about the whereabouts of these suspects to contact any of its offices in Ibadan, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, or Abuja, or to call the provided hotline numbers. Alternatively, tips can be sent via email to [email protected] or reported to the nearest police or security agency.

This development follows the collapse of CBEX in April 2025, which reportedly defrauded over 600,000 Nigerians of approximately N1.3 trillion. The scale of the fraud has made it one of the most significant financial crimes in recent Nigerian history, prompting widespread investigations.
