The Nigerian pay-TV landscape has seen significant changes in subscription prices for DStv and GOtv.

This article provides the latest updates on the pricing structure, following a court order that has impacted MultiChoice’s pricing policy.

Introduction

MultiChoice Nigeria, the leading satellite television provider, has recently adjusted its subscription rates for DStv and GOtv services.

This change comes as a result of a court order mandating the company to halt a planned price hike.

New Subscription Rates

Effective from June 16, 2024, the new subscription rates for DStv and GOtv are as follows:

DStv Packages

  • Premium: Reduced from ₦37,000 to ₦29,500
  • Compact+: Reduced from ₦25,000 to ₦19,800
  • Compact: Reduced from ₦15,700 to ₦12,500
  • Confam: Reduced from ₦9,300 to ₦7,400
  • Yanga: Reduced from ₦5,100 to ₦4,200
  • Padi: Reduced from ₦3,600 to ₦2,950
  • HDPVR Access Service: Reduced from ₦5,000 to ₦4,000
  • Access Fees: Reduced from ₦5,000 to ₦4,000
  • XtraView: Reduced from ₦5,000 to ₦4,000

GOtv Packages

  • Supa+: Reduced from ₦15,700 to ₦12,500
  • Supa: Reduced from ₦9,600 to ₦7,600
  • Max: Reduced from ₦7,200 to ₦5,700
  • Jolli: Reduced from ₦4,850 to ₦3,950
  • Jinja: Reduced from ₦3,300 to ₦2,700
  • Smallie: Reduced from ₦1,575 to ₦1,300
