Drake Responds to Story He Told A Female Fan to Remove Hijab

Drake has finally spoken up after claims that the he asked a female fan attending his O2 concert to remove her hijab.

From the video which made rounds on social media, the rapper is heard telling a female audience: “You got on that hot ass scarf right there, you might wanna take this off. You gotta turn this muthafucka up…you gotta come out of that shit,” he said.

Many people believed that the female was a Muslim wearing a hijab, and this earned the rapper intense ire of fans on social media.

But Drake denies he was speaking to a Muslim; and the since-deleted video didn’t show who the rapper was speaking to.

According to the Canadian rapper, he was addressing a female who came to his show wearing a jacket and a scarf and not an Islamic outfit.

“I made a comment about taking off the scarf because I really enjoy a friendly banter with the fans,” Drake wrote on his Instagram page. “I am well aware of what a hijab is and I would never make a disrespectful comment like that in my life towards someone who is wearing one.”
