Dr. Owen D. Omogiafo, the President/Group Chief Executive Officer of Transcorp Group, has been honored as one of the most influential people of African descent (MIPAD) on the Global Top 100 Futurists & Innovators List.

This prestigious recognition acknowledges individuals who have made remarkable contributions to shaping the future and driving innovative solutions within their respective fields.

The announcement of Dr. Omogiafo’s inclusion in the MIPAD list coincides with the release of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp Group)’s Q1 2024 results, which showcased impressive growth across all indices.

In the first quarter of 2024 (Q1’24), the company recorded a remarkable year-on-year (YoY) increase of 1,475 percent in Profit Before Tax (PBT), soaring to N45.7 billion from N2.9 billion in the corresponding period of 2023.

Additionally, there was a 173 percent YoY growth in revenue, reaching N88.6 billion in Q1’24 compared to N32.4 billion in Q1’23.

The consistent growth and exceptional results achieved by Transcorp Group under Dr. Omogiafo’s visionary leadership reflect her commitment to innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Taking the helm during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Omogiafo has steered the Group and its subsidiaries, including Transcorp Power, Transafam Power, and Transcorp Hotels Plc, towards exponential growth and profitability.

Dr. Omogiafo’s transformative leadership has propelled Transcorp Group’s shares to be among the best-performing stocks of the year in 2023, a trend that has continued into 2024.
