Davido to Donate N300 Million to Orphanages for His 32nd Birthday

Award-winning Nigerian singer Davido has announced plans to donate N300 million to orphanages and charities across Nigeria in celebration of his 32nd birthday on November 21, 2024.

The Afrobeats superstar disclosed the initiative on his X (formerly Twitter) page, marking yet another milestone in his philanthropic journey.

Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, stated that the funds will benefit orphanages and organizations dedicated to combating drug abuse and addiction among young people.

He also promised to share more details about the disbursement process soon.

Davido said: “Once again, my birthday this year we donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse & addiction. This year is N300m. Details to follow soon.”

The singer’s announcement highlights his unwavering dedication to supporting vulnerable communities. In 2021, he organized a Twitter fundraiser, donating N250 million to orphanages across the country.

By July 2023, he had extended his generosity with a further N237 million distributed to orphanage homes nationwide.

Earlier this year, in February 2024, the Afrobeats star contributed another N300 million to orphanages, focusing on easing the economic challenges faced by underprivileged groups.
