Davido-and-Akon

As two of Africa’s most popular sons in music acts will be in Kenya to headline different events this weekend, there are plans that they’ll hook up afterwards to do a song together.

HKN boss, Davido will be in Kenya to headline the Afrobeat concert holding at the Carnivore Grounds on Saturday, March 28, 2015 while Senegal-born American superstar, Akon is also billed to be in the East African country on the same day.

A source in Davido ’s camp said that both already have plans to hook up in Kenya to record a song for Davido’s highly anticipated sophomore album. The forthcoming album already boasts of collabos with American stars like Meek Mil, Wale and possibly Drake.

Recall that in 2012, the duo first worked together on the remix of Davido’s hit song, ‘Dami Duro’. A true home boy as far as the African music scene is concerned, in the past, Akon has worked with other Nigerian acts like Psquare, Shank, Wizkid and D’banj.
