Afrobeats superstar Davido has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, are pausing plans to expand their family, choosing instead to focus on family balance and Chioma’s entrepreneurial journey.

Speaking during a trending episode of Ride Along With Darryl, which gained attention on Saturday, the father of five made it clear that welcoming more children is not a priority for now.

“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,” Davido said.

The award-winning singer added that Chioma is currently spending more time abroad, laying the groundwork for her business ventures, beginning with a line of cooking spices.

“She is here mostly now so I think she is going to open something here first, both in Nigeria and here, but she wants to open something here first. The main thing is the spices for now. Get the spices in some major stores worldwide, both in Africa and diaspora, everywhere, ’cause her food tastes amazing,” he shared.

Okay.ng reports that Davido and Chioma welcomed twins — a boy and a girl — in 2023, a year after the tragic passing of their first son, Ifeanyi, who died in 2022.
