The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to ₦970 per litre, down from its previous price of ₦990 per litre.

The decision was disclosed in a statement by the company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, on Sunday.

The statement described the price adjustment as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their support in making the refinery a reality and a step toward supporting the government’s economic measures.

“Dangote Petroleum Refinery has effected a reduction in the prevailing price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990/litre to N970/litre for the marketers,” the statement read.

“As the year comes to an end, this is our way of appreciating the good people of Nigeria for their unwavering support in making the refinery a dream come true.”

The refinery also highlighted its commitment to providing high-quality, environmentally friendly, and sustainable petroleum products.

Chiejina assured Nigerians that the facility is ramping up production to meet and surpass domestic fuel consumption, alleviating fears of supply shortages.

“In addition, this is to thank the government for their support as this will complement the measures put in place to encourage domestic enterprise for our collective well-being,” the statement added.
