Liverpool may be ready to let go of their star player, but only if the Catalan side pay £76 million for him.

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has agreed personal terms with Barcelona according to reports in SPORT . The Brazilian midfielder has held talks with the Spanish giants, and they have made it clear that they see him as a vital part of their first team.

The Spanish publication claim that Liverpool are ready to sell their star player as well but will be demanding a whopping £76 million to let go of their best player.

Barcelona see him as an ideal replacement for Andres Iniesta, who is said to be on the verge of leaving the club.

However, the club are not willing to meet Liverpool’s demands of £76 million according to the SPORT report, possibly throwing a spanner in the move. They are set for a squad overhaul in the summer and are open to making a ‘player + cash’ bid for the Brazilian.

Coutinho has been Liverpool’s best player for the last two seasons and has been the primary force behind their surge for a top 4 finish. The midfielder has scored 10 and assisted 6 in the Premier League this season, so Jurgen Klopp would surely be reluctant to see him depart.

Apart from the Brazilian, Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti and Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez are said to be Barcelona’s targets to replace Iniesta.
