Sanchez – The Blues have been linked with a sensational move for their rival’s most important player, but Conte isn’t thinking transfers ahead of the weekend’s action.

Antonio Conte has issued a response to reports that Chelsea are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal ahead of his side’s clash with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

The Arsenal talisman was linked to a sensational move to Stamford Bridge after reports in England linked him with the surprise move as he continues talks over a new contract at his club.

Chelsea’s boss issued a response to whether he is interesting in securing Sanchez from his rivals, if Arsene Wenger fails to come an agreement over a new deal to keep the 27-year-old.

“I don’t think it is right to talk about other players and other teams, Conte said at a press conference at Cobham Training Centre. “It is not right and we are totally focused on the next game, next season.

“January and next season are very far for us. It is important not to talk about other players because it is a lack of respect. We have four games before January. It’s important to be focused on this game.

“January is far away for me. Now I’m pleased, very glad, with this squad and to work with these players. For this reason, I repeat: stay concentrated on this game, go game by game, and then we’ll see.”

Wenger, yesterday, denied that Arsenal would sell Sanchez to his rivals but the Blues could look to do business for midfielders or defenders in January including the likes of Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj, Internazionale’s Geoffrey Kondogbia and Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson.
