A group of college students threw their classmate off a bridge because he refused to buy them breakfast, according to a lawsuit filed in South Carolina.

19-year-old Tucker Hipps, a Student at the Clemson University, was found floating in a lake by police.

University officials claimed that Hipps was participating in a group activity early in the morning with members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

When he did not return from the activity and was not at breakfast, fraternity members contacted the police to report him missing.

However, the lawsuit filed by the parents Hipps, tells a different version of the events leading to his death. They claim that their son was killed for not buying breakfast for his fellow fraternity members.

Hipps received a text message from Bryan Golnek, demanding that he buy 30 burgers, 30 chips and 2 gallons of chocolate milk.

Hipps sent a text message saying that he did not have enough money in his bank account to cover that much food. Members of the group confronted Hipps on the bridge, and at some point, he was thrown off it and into the lake below.

Gary and Cynthia Hipps said that his death was senseless and avoidable. They are asking $25 million as part of their wrongful death lawsuit.
