Chima Udoye has emerged as the winner of the 9th edition of the music competition, Nigerian Idol.

As the 2024 Nigerian Idol champion, Chima claimed a N30 million cash prize, a car, a music deal, a DSTV Explorer, and a year-long premium subscription.

The countdown to the winner of Season 9 officially began on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Each episode showcased the incredible vocals and stage presence of the contestants, who worked tirelessly to impress the judges and secure their place in the competition. This year’s theme, “Let Your Dreams Take Flight,” captured the essence of the competition, with contestants giving their very best in every episode.

After a staggering 40 million votes, it was announced that Chima and Lammy had made it to the finale, leaving Mira Clear and Chioma in the bottom two, with one of them potentially going home.
