Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has passed away in the early hours of Tuesday following a long battle with illness.

Adeyeye had reportedly been unwell since July 12, 2023, after sustaining severe injuries when a section of the state high court complex collapsed on him.

The news of his death has left the Ekiti State legal community and residents in mourning.

The Association of International Female Lawyers (FIDA) in Ekiti released a heartfelt condolence message to honor Adeyeye’s legacy and offer support to his family.
