English Premier League club Chelsea are willing to signing AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker and could bid £62m to secure him.

Liverpool had initially been linked with a move for the Brazil international but they are understood to be unwilling to meet Roma’s valuation of the player, who kept 17 clean sheets for Roma in Serie A last term, the second-highest total behind Napoli’s Pepe Reina.

A move to Stamford Bridge could pave the way for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to move to Real Madrid.

Courtois is currently with the Belgium squad at the World Cup and told a recent press conference: “I have a certain preferred destination.

“I have some ideas in my mind, but I’m focusing on the World Cup and have pushed all decisions ahead until after the tournament.

“My kids are the most important to me. I haven’t seen them a lot in the last 18 months. FaceTime is nice, but seeing them grow up is something different. My kids will play an important role in my decision”.

Courtois’ children live in Madrid with his former partner.
