Chelsea has completed the signing of Norwegian forward Guro Reiten, from LSK Kvinner.

The 24-year-old has shown her best form, finishing as the league’s top scorer in each of the past three seasons.

Speaking about the move the forward said:

It will be a new challenge for me and I am very much looking forward to it, also in order to push myself to take the next step in my development as a person and as a player.

My time at LSK was great. Fans, team-mates, coaches, and officials have always been very supportive and I wish LSK to win the Norwegian title again this season and to play a good role in Europe.

For the next weeks, my focus will be with the Norwegian national team in order to achieve our goals at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Chelsea Women manager, Emma Hayes added:

Guro is one of the most talented creative players in the world and she will be a super addition to our football club.

She brings the winning mentality and personality to shine in a Chelsea shirt, and I’m excited to introduce her to our fans.

Reiten will officially join the Premier League club on Monday, July 15, after representing her country at the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
