The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released a list of contact details for customers to report issues with accessing cash either over the counter or at automated teller machines (ATMs).

The move is part of efforts to ensure efficient currency circulation and to enforce compliance among Deposit Money Banks (DMBs).

In a circular issued on Tuesday, jointly signed by Solaja Olayemi, Acting Director of Currency Operations, and Isa-Olatinwo Aisha, Acting Director of Branch Operations, the CBN urged the public to report any difficulties in withdrawing cash.

The bank emphasized the need for banks to prioritize cash disbursement through ATMs and over-the-counter transactions, warning of penalties for non-compliance.

“Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) are directed to ensure efficient cash disbursement to customers Over-the-Counter (OTC) and through ATMs as the CBN will intensify its oversight roles to enforce this directive and ensure compliance,” the statement read.

The circular further stated that members of the public should report incidents of non-dispensation of cash, providing details such as the bank’s name, the amount, time, and date of the incident.

Reports can be submitted via designated phone numbers and email addresses provided by the CBN for each state.

Below are the contact details for CBN branches across the country:
