Buhari okays Oyo-Ita’s resignation, confirms Yemi-Esan as HoS

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the resignation of Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita from the Federal Civil Service with effect from Thursday, February 27, 2020.

In effect to this, Buhari confirmed Folasade Yemi-Esan as the substantive Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoS) with effect Friday, February 28, 2020.

Olusegun Adekunle, Permanent Secretary, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday.

According to the statement, the retirement of Oyo-Ita was without prejudice to the ongoing investigations of certain allegations against her.

He also noted that President Buhari thanked her for the invaluable services to the nation and wished her well in all future endeavors.
