Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has insisted that President Muhammadu Buhari is sick, urging him to resign.

The governor made this known on Wednesday during a meeting with political office holders at the Ekiti state Government House.

Fayose said he stands by all he said about the president’s health.

The Ekiti governor had claimed in June that he had it on good authority that Buhari was on life support in a London hospital.

But nearly one month after he made that claim, the presidency released pictures confirming that some APC governors and the party’s national chairman visited the president in London.

And after subsequent visits by some governors, the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as some presidential aides, to the Nigerian president in the British capital, Buhari returned to Nigeria on Saturday after spending over 100 days on medical vacation.

However, Fayose still does not believe that Buhari has fully recovered from the unknown ailment.

”If not for our efforts, Buhari wouldn’t have returned now. Buhari is sick and tired and even his physical appearance portrayed this and he needs to go home and rest,” the governor said.

”Every word that has come out of my mouth, I have no apology for them. President Buhari was indeed in a coma and one of those who visited him said his recovery is a miracle. That shows that he was indeed very sick. Let Buhari go back to Daura and rest, don’t send him to an early grave.”
