President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, described Hajiya Rabi Dantata, wife of renowned Kano-based businessman, Aminu Dantata, as a simple and compassionate fellow who had a passion to serve others.

“Her simple and compassionate life was an inspiration to all those around her,” Buhari said in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

According to a family source, Mrs Dantata, died at a Jeddah hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, after battling a prolonged undisclosed illness.

In the statement titled ‘President Buhari joins kano community mourning Hajiya Rabi Dantata’ the President condoled with the Dantata family over the passing of their matriarch, saying “She had a passion for service to the people.”
