House of Representatives speaker Aminu Tambuwal is sure that the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2015 candidates Muhammadu Buhari (for President) and Yemi Osinbajo (for Vice President) can save Nigeria from its current “woes”.

Tambuwal, who has recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC and was soon picked the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Sokoto State, said this December 19.

According to Premium Times, the politician expressed happiness over both candidacies while speaking at the monthly APC Stakeholders meeting in Sokoto.

Governor Aliyu Wamakko, on his part, said that the APC would set up a reconciliation and campaign committees across the state soon.

“The reconciliation committees will pacify all aggrieved aspirants of the party at all levels, with a view to wooing them.”

Wamakko expressed determination to put maximum effort to enable APC’s advancement in the next year’s polls.

The governor also insisted that the major opposition party was prospering, contrary to some speculations.

It would be recalled that earlier this week Wamakko urged President Goodluck Jonathan to “resign and apologise to Nigerians for his failure”.
