British Airways is set to immerse its passengers in the pulsating rhythms of Afrobeats, unveiling a captivating playlist curated by renowned Nigerian-born musician Cuppy.

Commencing from November 1, travelers across the airline’s extensive long-haul network can enjoy a unique collection of tracks handpicked by the celebrated Londoner DJ.

To mark the launch of British Airways’ new route from Accra to London Gatwick, Cuppy has expertly assembled a compilation of her favorite tunes, transporting listeners to an eclectic world of vibrant African beats fused with hip hop and reggae.

Notable tracks such as “Jollof On The Jet” and “Feel Good” promise to deliver an unforgettable auditory experience, elevating the journey for passengers before they even touch down at their destination.

Expressing her excitement about the collaboration, Cuppy highlighted the remarkable power of music in transcending geographical boundaries.

“I’m super excited to partner with British Airways on their first-ever Afrobeats playlist, bringing feel-good vibes right to flyers’ seats,” she said.

“I’m pleased to add this exclusive mix to their extensive music collection and hope customers sit back, plug in their headphones, and turn the volume up!”

Calum Laming, British Airways’ Chief Customer Officer, emphasized the significance of offering an enriched entertainment experience to their valued passengers.

“Enjoying the latest music, films, and box sets is one of the things our customers most look forward to when they fly with us,” he noted.

“We’re really pleased to partner with Cuppy and bring more exclusive mixes to flyers’ fingertips.”

As the airline continues to expand its services, the new route from Accra to London Gatwick complements the existing daily flights to London Heathrow, providing travelers with enhanced flexibility and convenience in flight options.

Passengers can indulge in the state-of-the-art A350 fleet, equipped with the latest generation business class seat, Club Suite, ensuring an unparalleled travel experience.

In addition to the curated playlists, British Airways is progressively introducing WiFi connectivity across its long and short-haul fleet, catering to the evolving connectivity needs of modern travelers.

Various WiFi packages, including messaging and browsing options, enable passengers to stay connected throughout their journey, enhancing the overall travel experience.
