BREAKING: Pres. Buhari Appoints ‘Alhaji Ahmed Idris’ As New Accountant General of the Federation

President Muhammadu Buhari has made his first senior cadre appointment naming Alhaji Ahmed Idris as the substantive Accountant General of the Federation effective from Thursday.

The appointment was made public by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Danladi Kifasi, through a statement by his Director of Communications, Haruna Imrana, on Thursday in Abuja.

The statement also added that the appointment was with immediate effect from June 25, 2015. Idris hails from Kano State.

He was born on November 25, 1960 and was until his new appointment the Director of Finance and Accounts in the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
