Boko Haram terrorists are reportedly offering to free the abducted Chibok girls in exchange for the release of some of the sect’s members who are being
detained by the Nigerian government.

This was disclosed to The Associated Press by a human rights activist, who chose to remain anonymous.

According to AP, a man named Fred Eno, who has been negotiating with Boko Haram for more than a year, stated that another “another window of opportunity opened” in the last few days.

Eno said further that the 5-week-old administration of President Muhammadu Buhari offers “a clean slate” to bring the militants back to negotiations that had
become poisoned by the different security agencies and their advice to Jonathan.
