Senator Ben Murray-Bruce (PDP-Bayelsa East) has called on EFCC, ICPC to return the money donation allegedly given to them by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.

okay.ng recalls that Ganduje announced the donation of N10 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) when he received members of the organizing committee of an anti-corruption marathon programme in Abuja.

In a swift reaction, the anti-graft agency said the report of the donation is a “false and deliberate attempt to malign the efforts of the commission in the fight against corruption”.

Ben Murray-Bruce took to his Twitter page to condemn the EFCC.

He wrote: “I call on the EFCC and the ICPC to do the honorable thing and return Ganduje’s ‘donation’ to him.

“That donation is an insult.

“In fact, if the money is not returned to him, it should be used to hire a private prosecutor to try him.”

okay.ng recalls that Ganduje has been accused of corruption after videos of him surfaced on the internet collecting bribe from contractors.
