Bayern Munich celebrated their fourth straight Bundesliga title with a 3-1 win over Hannover in Pep Guardiola’s last league game in charge of the Bavarians.

Robert Lewandowski put Bayern in front and sealed his place as the league’s top goalscorer in 2015/16 before Mario Gotze struck twice on what could be his last Bundesliga match for the club, amid transfer speculation.

Artur Sobiech pulled a goal back before the party started at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern took the title by 10 points from Dortmund, who they meet next Saturday in the final of the DFB-Pokal in Berlin.

Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 12th minute, scoring from close to the penalty spot after Kingsley Coman’s cross was deflected back out to him by Hannover defender Waldemar Anton.

Hannover could and perhaps should have levelled midway through the first half when Felix Klaus’ shot was only blocked by Manuel Neuer and Iver Fossum lifted the loose ball over the crossbar with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Gotze showed him how it should be done to double Bayern’s lead in the 28th minute, with Lewandowski selflessly accompanying the ball across the line and resisting the temptation to get the final touch which would have taken him on to 31 goals for the season.

Lewandowski did try to get his 31st strike with a backheeled effort before Coman sent a header against the post.

A powerful effort from Gotze left Ron-Robert Zieler no chance in the Hannover goal as Bayern increased their lead early in the second half.

Sobiech earned Hannover a consolation when he needed just two touches to beat Bayern substitute keeper Sven Ulreich from close range.
