The wife of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Titi Atiku, has condemned the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s campaign in churches.

Titi, who met with North-East women stakeholders at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Yola, on Saturday, called on the Christian electorate to be wary of politicians using religion as bait.

According to Titi, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, is not a threat to her husband’s presidential ambition because nobody is talking about him in Adamawa State.

She said, “Don’t let people come to tell you one Obi is somewhere and he will do it for you because he’s a Christian. Obi did just one state, in this big country called Nigeria, Atiku managed 36 states plus the Federal Capital Territory, making 37 states. This means Atiku has done it before and he’ll do it again for you.

“These other people who are also contesting the Presidency, the Christians among us here are clamouring for Obi. But Obi only governed one state while Atiku helped managed the whole country. Only the man who knows the way can salvage this nation. And Atiku knows the way. His mission is to rescue and salvage the country from rot. Atiku has asked me to deliver his message to you that a vote for him will discontinue the suffering of the last eight years by replacing it with prosperity, peace and security.”

Earlier, wife of ex-Adamawa State governor, Mrs Zainab Boni-Haruna, had said, “I am aware that a stranger came to town, that stranger’s name is Obi. You know for a fact that nobody is talking about Bola Tinubu. This Obi, as you must have known was part of the PDP, but who went out through the other door, and has been moving from church to church seeking Christian votes to become President on the grounds of religion. Don’t be deceived, they are lying to you.”

Atiku’s wife, at event issued out scholarship to support children who excelled academically, by covering their tuition in any tertiary institution in the country through her foundation.
