A high-profile coalition meeting is currently underway in Yola, Adamawa State, bringing together prominent political figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Senator Ishaku Abbo, Senator Aishatu Binani, and other key members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Atiku, the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, arrived at Yola International Airport via private jet at 12:48 p.m. and was received by Senator Abbo before proceeding to the American University of Nigeria Hotel, the venue of the closed-door meeting.

While the agenda remains undisclosed, a confidential source within Senator Binani’s camp confirmed her participation. “My presence here should indicate my principal’s involvement in this leadership gathering,” said the aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “She’s presently engaged, but will be more visible in subsequent meetings.”

The convergence of these influential figures from across party lines has sparked political speculation, though participants have maintained tight-lipped about the meeting’s objectives. This development comes amid ongoing political realignments in the lead-up to Nigeria’s next electoral cycle.
