Though England youth international of Nigerian descent, Dominic Solanke, is originally linked with a switch to Liverpool or Bayern Munich from Chelsea, fresh transfer reports suggest that Arsenal may just hijack the deal.

Dominic Solanke

As reported in London Football, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the situation of Solanke and could make a move to take the 19-year old from their London rivals,Chelsea.

Solanke is believed to want to increase his wages from £7,000-a-week to £50,000 – demands Chelsea are unwilling to meet.

Boss Antonio Conte has already confirmed Solanke is unlikely to be at Stamford Bridge next season.

He said: ”I think [he will leave], I am not sure, but I think this is his will.

“I don’t know, I should have a crystal ball to tell his future, I wish for him and his family the best.

“I have spoken with him to try to understand his decision. It is normal. We must have a great respect for every decision.”

Solanke, who has played for England at every age group from Under-16 to Under-21, is out of contract at the end of the season and he is still very much eligible to represent Nigeria through his descent.
