Job Opportunity: Data Privacy Leader – Controls

Job Specifications:

  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Required Qualifications: BA/BSC/HND
  • Location: All States, Nigeria

Job Description: As a Data Privacy Leader within Digital & Technology Platforms Services (DTPS), you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining privacy control standards and policies. You will ensure compliance with data protection regulations, including the EU GDPR, and contribute to the organization’s privacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date Privacy Controls Standards.
  • Conduct Privacy by Design assessments and validate post-go-live privacy requirements implementation.
  • Contribute to Data Protection Impact Assessments and 3rd party Risk Assessments.
  • Provide technical privacy requirements within company initiatives and projects.
  • Lead privacy technical projects for the Data Privacy office.
  • Contribute to the development of the Data Protection strategy.
  • Lead Data Protection Awareness programs and deliver targeted awareness.
  • Analyze opportunities for improvements in data maintenance processes.
  • Lead Supplier Due Diligence for Privacy Technical and Organizational Controls.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years demonstrated experience in Privacy & Data protection.
  • University degree in engineering or Information Technology.
  • Professional certifications in the field of Data Privacy, control, or audit – IAPP CIPT are an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of EU Data Protection Law (GDPR) and Privacy Frameworks (GAPP, NIST).
  • Knowledge in Privacy Enhancing Technologies and security models.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.
  • Creative and Analytical Problem Solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
