The All Progressives Congress (APC) is exuding confidence in its stronghold as Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman, assures that the party will maintain its grip on Ondo State in the upcoming governorship election slated for November.

Ganduje, speaking through Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, emphasized the party’s commitment to fairness and transparency in the primary election process, promising all 16 aspirants a level playing ground.

Highlighting the party’s successful handling of the recent Edo APC primary as a testament to its resolve, Ganduje expressed optimism about securing victory in Ondo.

He cited the resolution of disputes in Edo through negotiation, leading to a united front, as evidence of the party’s strength and capacity to win elections.

The closure of the submission of forms for the 16 aspirants marks a pivotal step in the party’s preparation for the primary election. Nze Duru announced plans for the screening exercise, indicating the party’s organized approach to candidate selection.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayiedatiwa and other aspirants, including prominent women like Engr. Funmilayo Mary Whaeed Adekojo and Engr. (Mrs.) Funke Omogoroye Folakemi Judith, are among those vying for the party’s ticket. With a diverse pool of candidates, the APC demonstrates inclusivity and readiness to accommodate various interests within its fold.
