APC Condemns Obasanjo Over Criticism of Tinubu’s Policies

The former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has been condemned by the rulling All Progressives Congress (APC) over his criticism of the present administration’s running of reforms and the coup d’etat in Niger Republic.

President Bola Tinubu’s implementation of the removal of subsidy from petroleum products also the floating of naira was criticized by the former President, Obasanjo.

In recent times, Nigerians has been enmeshed with economic hardship, rising cost of food items and inflation following the removal of fuel subsidy, also the floating of naira by Tinubu government.

Obasanjo through his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi stated that though the policies initiated by Tinubu were necessary, but were wrongly executed.

Obasanjo spoke in Abuja at the weekend in a colloquium themed: “Nigeria’s Development: Navigating the Way Out of the Current Economic Crisis and Insecurity.”

He buttress that the government has embarked on three decisions, in which two are necessary but wrongly implemented, which has led to the suffering of the masses.
