The All Progressives Congress (APC) has commiserated with President Goodluck Jonathan on the untimely death of his sister Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei, urging him to take solace in God for the unquantifiable loss.
The party, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the loss of a loved one was always an unfathomable tragedy.
The party said , ”We pray that God will grant repose to the soul of the departed, comfort the President and his entire family and give them the strength to bear their loss.
”We also wish the immediate family of the deceased God’s succour in their moment of darkness.”
President Goodluck Jonathan had on Sunday announced the demise of his junior sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei.
A presidency statement said Nancy, 52, died on Sunday at a hospital in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, the President’s home state, after a brief illness.
“Burial arrangements will be announced later by the family,” the statement by the president’s spokesman,” Reuben Abati, added
