AMVCA 2025: MultiChoice Calls for Entries for 11th Edition

MultiChoice, the organisers of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), has officially called for entries for the 11th edition of the annual ceremony.

The AMVCA is a celebration of excellence in the African television, film, and entertainment industries. The awards honour outstanding talent, creativity, and innovation in storytelling, performance, and production across the continent.

In a statement issued on Monday, Busola Tejumola, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of Content and Channels in West Africa, announced that entries opened on Monday, December 25, 2024, and will close on January 31, 2025.

“The awards have become a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of African storytelling,” Tejumola said.

“We are excited to once again open the doors for talented creatives across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world.”

Eligible entries for the awards must have been broadcast or publicly screened between December 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024.

Tejumola emphasized that the AMVCA continues to play a vital role in providing deserved recognition for talented creatives and fostering unforgettable moments for participants.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels, reaching millions of viewers across the continent.

Interested creatives are encouraged to submit their entries via the official AMVCA portal: https://www.africamagic.tv/AMVCA.

The AMVCA has become one of the most anticipated events in the African entertainment calendar, celebrating the remarkable achievements of filmmakers, actors, and other industry professionals while shining a spotlight on the vibrancy of African storytelling.
