Akinwunmi Ambode Wins Lagos Governorship Race

Akinwunmi-Ambode

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, has won the Lagos State Gubernatorial race at the 2015 Nigeria elections making him state’s next Governor for four years.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is yet to announce the official result but according to a document, obtained by Sahara Reporters, which shows over 90% of votes collated across Lagos state, Ambode has been congratulated by many across the state.

AFTER 90% RESULTS

Registered Voters – 5,827,846

Estimated PVCs Collected – 3,771,199

APC Votes – 724,114

PDP Votes – 560,463

With this development, Ambode becomes the Lagos State Governor-elect, defeating the People’s Democratic Party flag bearer, Jimi Agbaje.

The official announcement of results and declaration of winners by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will take place in the coming hours.
