Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has assured that Kelechi Iheanacho is now fully recovered from the muscular injury that previously sidelined him, Okay.ng reports.

Iheanacho, who missed Nigeria’s pre-2023 Africa Cup of Nations training tour in Abu Dhabi due to the ailment, has rejoined the squad and is in contention for a starting role in the upcoming clash against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.

The Leicester City star, known for his prolific performances, demonstrated his return to full fitness by being named among the substitutes in Nigeria’s recent 1-1 draw with Equatorial Guinea.

Peseiro has expressed satisfaction with Iheanacho’s training performances this week.
