AFCON: Quarter-Final Full Fixtures, Date and Time

With the Round of 16 concluding on Tuesday night, the stage is set for the highly anticipated quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Following thrilling encounters and unexpected upsets, the full fixtures for the quarter-finals have been confirmed.

The quarter-finals will kick off on Friday, February 2, after a two-day break, bringing together the continent’s football powerhouses in fierce battles for supremacy.

Notable shocks from the Round of 16 included the early exit of defending champions Senegal and perennial winners Egypt, who fell to DR Congo. Morocco’s journey also came to an abrupt end after suffering a 2-0 defeat to South Africa.

Here are the full fixtures for the quarter-finals:

Friday, February 2:

  • Nigeria vs Angola (Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, 6pm)
  • DR Congo vs Guinea (Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, 9pm)

Saturday, February 3:

  • Mali vs Ivory Coast (Stade de la Paix, Bouake, 6pm)
  • Cape Verde vs South Africa (Charles Konan Banny Stadium, Yamoussoukro, 8pm)

The semi-finals are scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, with the winners of the quarter-final clashes facing off in intense battles for a spot in the final.

Semi-finals:

  • Nigeria or Angola vs Winner 4 (Stade de la Paix, Bouake, 6pm)
  • Winner 3 vs DR Congo or Guinea (Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, 9pm)

The third-place play-off will take place on Saturday, February 10, followed by the grand finale on Sunday, February 11, where the ultimate champion of the 2023 AFCON will be crowned.
