The family of the late gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has provided details of her upcoming funeral arrangements and addressed the widespread misinformation regarding the cause of her death.

Aduke Gold passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, sparking various speculations about her demise.

Among these was a viral report that inaccurately claimed the singer had died due to complications from a fibroid surgery.

However, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, Aduke Gold’s stepbrother, has refuted these claims in a video statement that has since been widely shared on social media. Aderogbo confirmed that the gospel singer’s death was due to cervical cancer, as documented on her hospital death certificate.

  • Thursday, August 22: An Artistes Night will take place from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM at the same venue, providing a platform for fellow gospel artists and admirers to pay tribute to the late singer.
  • Friday, August 23: The Burial Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM at the hall within Lagos African Church Grammar School, Ifako-Ijaiye.
